Home Firearm Safety
The NRA Home Firearm Safety is a non-shooting course and teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and to explain the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only.
Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; and safe storage of firearms in the home. If you wish to add additional attendee’s such as friends, family, email or call ahead to have them added to roster. Our system currently does not allow to multiple bookings under the same account.
Home Firearm Safety is a great class for family members who may encounter a firearm in the home.
Home Firearm Safety is also approved for many court ordered trainings.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
NRA Home Firearm Safety - 4 Hrs
This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate.
This class meets the requirements for many court ordered, or legally required safety programs.
Children mature enough to attend the course are eligible to attend with a legal guardian. In order to enroll more than one person, please call or email ahead. Our system only supports individual enrollments by person.

Classroom:
Comfortable attire. All equipment will be provided.

Can my children attend this training?
Yes. Parents should make a discretion if their children are mature enough to handle firearms. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Will we be touching real firearms?
Yes. However, in this class there will be NO LIVE ammo in the classroom. All training will be on real firearms with dummy/inert training rounds.
Who is this class for?
This class is to teach firearms safety. Anyone who wishes to learn about firearms safety may attend. This is not a learn to shoot course. All training will be classroom based and students will be tuaght how to safely store, and handle firearms. This certificate is also generally accepted for those who have court ordered training obligations.
