NRA Instructor Courses
NRA Instructor candidates must meet 3 requirements:
1: Complete the Basic Course for the instructor certification desired.
2: Attend Basic Instructor Training (6 hours) within 2 years of earning instructor rating.
3: Successfully complete the instructor certification desired.
If you don’t see a date for a course you would like to attend, CALL US! We do private training as well.
NRA Pistol Instructor
The NRA Instructor course prepares instructors to teach safety rules, maintenance, and marksmanship. Instructors must be reasonably familiar with the handguns of all types.
NRA Rifle Instructor
The NRA Instructor course prepares instructors to teach safety rules, maintenance, and marksmanship. Instructors must be reasonably familiar with rifles of all types.
NRA Home Firearms Safety Instructor
The NRA Instructor course prepares instructors to teach the NRA Home Firearms Safety. This is not a live fire shooting course.
Personal Protection Inside the Home
The NRA Instructor course prepares instructors to teach defensive shooting concepts. NRA PPIH prepares shooters for managing a firearms in a dynamic environment.
Personal Protection Outside the Home
The NRA Instructor course prepares instructors to teach CCW defensive shooting concepts. NRA PPOH authorizes instructors to conduct state approved CCW training.
NRA Shotgun Instructor
The NRA Instructor course prepares instructors to teach safety rules, maintenance, and marksmanship. Instructors must be reasonably familiar with rifles of all types.
NRA Chief Range Safety Officer
This NRA Instructor course prepares CRSO’s to teach the Range Safety Officer course, and develop a club or shooting ranges standard operating procedures.
NRA CCW Instructor
Allows instructors to teach NRA CCW course. This rating is not accepted in California to certify DOJ CCW instructors; however, the course may be used to certify students.
NRA Basic Instructor Training
This course is required in order to attend any instructor certification training. Students will learn basics of public speaking, introduction to NRA policies, and more!
